The Light Host, a division of Abrooke Trading, Inc., is here to brighten your day. We are a small, owner operated company, not a large corporation to which you are just a number. Our services are powered by physical servers in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, Florida, with additional servers in the process of deployment in Tennessee. We offer discounts for non-profit organizations.
Our Journey So Far
Early beginnings
1999-2023
It all started when our company’s founder developed an interest in e-commerce after watching his parents place orders online as a first grade student. While enrolled in middle school, our company’s founder was already involved in international business, selling goods on eBay through his mother’s account.
Foundation of Abrooke Trading
2023
Our company was founded with a vision to bring locally produced goods an services to the international market (hence the name “Abrooke Trading” which is inspired by Abeka Book’s name). One local business we worked with sought to do far more than sell items online and we quickly became a diversified technology company.
Launch of in-house servers
2025
When Abrooke Trading sought to create a website, we had multiple options to consider. We could build a site with one of the myriad of high price, low quality companies that cater to the non-technically minded, we could establish an off-site VPS and self host there, or we could use our own bare metal. We picked the third option, initially using an old desktop PC as a server hosting a single WordPress-based website. It didn’t take long for us to upgrade, first to a better desktop PC, then to our own rackmounted server. Today we own and operate multiple servers in multiple locations!
